Our interior studio design spaces that strive for the interior harmony with the worldview of the clients. In this house, Japandi’s stylistics is not a tribute to the prevailing trends, but a reflection of Japanese culture, tea ceremonies and art paired with the Scandinavian values of cleanliness and order.
Japandi is a seamless fusion of Japanese minimalism and Scandinavian functionality that emphasizes the importance of natural material, simplicity and subtle beauty. In this home, we have created an environment where every detail serves both aesthetic and practical purposes.
Warm shades of wood, tones of neutral gray, white and earthly brown – create a sense of tranquility. Subtle textures vary from stone, decorative plaster and wood surfaces to frosted glass partitions and Ingo Maurer luminaires made of Japanese paper. As early as 1970/1980 the luminaires declare the desire to approach natural materials and to emit light poetry. The subtly crushed Japanese paper texture creates a warm, mildly distributed light and turns into a peculiar sculpture. All of this helps to escape from everyday rush and create spaces for reflection and silence.
Scandinavian influences are revealed by clean lines, open spaces and organized layout. Each piece of furniture is chosen not only for beauty but also for functionality to keep the home neat and effective. Thought – out storage solutions help maintain the space clean and practical allowing the design to focus on simplicity and harmony.
These houses turned into a space where, by combining the Japanese and Scandinavian principles, we created a combination of balance, poetry and simplicity.
